Get PortableAI
Running

Requirements: a laptop or PC (Linux tested; Windows/Mac support in progress).

That’s it for setup: one folder, one command. No separate Ollama install, no internet required after the first model download, no account needed. PortableAI runs its own bundled model engine.

1. Clone the repo

git clone https://github.com/generalistcodes/portableai.git
cd portableai

2. Run it

python run.py

PortableAI starts from that folder. The first launch may download a model; after that it works offline.

3. Pair your phone

Open the PortableAI iOS app, scan for your laptop on the same WiFi network (or connect to its local hotspot), and enter the PIN shown on screen.
