Overview
The companion iOS app talks to the laptop’s local LLM server over a WiFi hotspot or LAN. You authenticate with a PIN. You do not need a router uplink or a PortableAI account.
What that means
- Each paired device only sees its own data.
- You can export that data.
- The laptop/admin can see paired devices for storage and benchmarking.
Not a SaaS integration
The app does not sign into iCloud, Discord, or a PortableAI cloud to chat.
